Looking back on a Spectacular Summer Season
What did you do this summer?
We welcomed 440 campers from 14 different countries. We brought together 30 arts professionals and 28 arts counsellors to create an inspiring arts community unlike any other. We sang together under the stars. Danced and cheered in the dining hall. Rehearsed and staged 26 performances. Held 6 film premiers and 6 art exhibitions. Staged 7 readings of original work. Held concerts of camper music, and welcomed professional musicians to perform. We went back in time 600 years for a Medieval Fayre. Celebrated Star Wars in a spectacular summer festival. Held Egyptian, Quebecois, Medieval and Thai banquets. We sang, laughed, made friends, and helped young people celebrate themselves and their strengths as they discovered everything they could be.
Oh – and we topped it all off with a tour through the mountains of North Wales, to a gorgeous writing retreat.
That’s what we did with our summer.
And now, with school starting for the Fall, are we taking time to relax?
No.
The Centauri Arts Academy opens in Toronto in just 2 weeks. We’ve international tours to plan, not to mention next summer’s schedule. Check back soon for dates, and all the exciting brand new programs offered in 2017!
In the meantime… here’s wishing everyone a terrific first week back at school.
