Our Monday Creative Writing course (starting late September) will be taught by Glenn Clifton, professor of Creative Writing at Sheridan College. Glenn has taught with us for the past decade, at the Academy, and at Centauri Summer Arts Camp. Our Tuesday Acting Ensemble will once again be taught by Lauren Saunders, who has worked with us for more than a decade, and for our Wednesday Acting Ensemble we are thrilled to welcome Paul Bryant, who has taught amazing programs with us at camp for the past three summers. Both Lauren and Paul are professional actors, certified teachers and graduates of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in England.
Our Thursday Film course will again be taught by the talented James McDougall, whose combination of acting and film production skills has enabled our students to learn so much, and to produce outstanding films. Finally, Julie Hartley returns to co-teach our Saturday morning writing class, working with Briana Brown, who taught a hugely successful writing class this summer at our camp. Both Briana and Julie have their MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia. Julie is a published novelist, and her workshops will focus on fiction writing skills. Briana will use her theatre and film expertise to offer classes in playwriting and screenwriting.
