Twice per session, our program directors take a day off, and we replace the regular schedule with something special. One festival each session is always arts-related, and that was the Classics Fest last week. The other festival is pure fun – and today that’s Westworld! Campers are spending the day in a wild-west themed amusement park run by robots (played by older campers and counsellors). This morning, they participated in wild west themed activities, while getting to know all the robotic hosts. This afternoon the robots are about to be sabotaged! In teams, campers will need to figure out why the robots have malfunctioned, and who has sabotaged them. Campers will need to re-create the amusement park, while working hard to figure out the culprit, and their motives. Dinner tonight is also wild west themed and will include line dancing and games.

The weather at Centauri has been just perfect this summer. Warm, but hardly ever baking hot. Dry, but with the occasional refreshing rainstorm. It is pleasant enough that we want to be outdoors, and never so hot that campers feel uninspired.
We just loaded up our session 1 movie and it is really quite fantastic – you can check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofeNPc96g_4&feature=youtu.be
After an early-to-bed and a sleep-in, regular programs resume tomorrow as we work towards the final shows!
