Each summer at Centauri Summer Arts Camp, we offer at least 6 programs specifically designed for our visual artists. Some of those programs remain the same each year simply because they are so popular – classic painting programs, digital photography and a combination of painting, drawing and sculpture, for example. But we also try to offer brand new choices each summer for artists who return to Centauri year after year.

In 2015 we’ll be offering a second installment of ‘Pop Art’, focusing this year on screen printing and the cult of the celebrity. One session will also offer artists a chance to focus on ‘Urban Art’, discovering artists like Banksy  as they work on their own urban art projects to install around camp. There’s a brand new Digital Art and Digital Photography combo and for our younger campers a Classic Art program, with a chance to explore some of the Masters, and make art in their styles. Finally, in Session 4, artists can let their imaginations run wild! We have two fantastic art programs in that session: for ages 9-14, there’s a chance to learn art technique and design principles as campers create original and bizarre inventions, and for ages 14-18 we have a fantasy art focus.
